Range Sustain Grange · Proposed community initiative

YOUR SKILLS ARE YOUR CREDENTIALS.

Introducing the Range Sustain Builders Guild. A welcoming place for ranchers, electricians, plumbers, welders, mechanics and inventors to create practical heat-reuse solutions for farms, homes, businesses and communities. No GitHub account or coding background required.

Our guiding idea

Build something useful. Prove that it works. Share in the value you create.

Some of the best solutions begin in a machine shop, calving barn, pump house or ranch kitchen. The Guild welcomes all kinds of useful heat-recovery and heat-reuse inventions, not just one product or installation. Builders can submit ideas without using GitHub.

Trade skills welcome

From heat exchangers and hydronic plumbing to grain drying, greenhouse heating, workshops, homes, water heating and entirely new applications.

Simple submissions

Start with a plain-language description, a sketch, or a photo. Our team can handle the technical documentation.

Potential rewards

The proposed reward path is cooperative review followed by acceptance and publication of an eligible design on the cooperative website. Reward amounts, funding and payment terms still require approval.

Open to new applications

Make waste heat useful.

Agriculture and livestock

Heat recovery for stock water, greenhouses, feed and grain drying, barns and other farm applications.

Homes and businesses

Practical inventions for space heating, hot water, workshops and commercial facilities.

New heat-reuse ideas

Manifolds, exchangers, controls, thermal storage, modular equipment and applications nobody has thought of yet.

Every proposed solution would need to satisfy cooperative guidelines, including applicable safety, performance and documentation requirements, before being accepted for listing. The guidelines and reward policy are still being developed.

How it could work

No GitHub. No complicated process.

Tell us your idea

Send a simple description of the problem and your proposed improvement.

Cooperative review

Check the submission against published cooperative guidelines for safety, usefulness and documentation.

Accept and list

Qualifying designs can be accepted and published on the cooperative website with agreed attribution and rights.

Reward the builder

An eligible accepted-and-listed contribution earns its defined reward under the approved program terms, with cash or Bitcoin options when available.

Help shape the Guild

Have a practical idea?

We are gathering interest while the cooperative develops its review guidelines and reward policy. Tell us what source of heat you want to put to work, the problem you want to solve, and whether you have an idea, sketch or prototype. Please do not send confidential invention details or sensitive information in your first message; we can discuss a private review process first.

Email your idea or interest

The proposed program would reward eligible builders when their work meets cooperative guidelines and is accepted for publication on the cooperative website. No guaranteed reward, open application program, or intellectual-property transfer is created by an inquiry.
