This method will build organic matter in soil, increasing moisture retention and sequestering carbon to mitigate climate change. Finished beef will be sold below premium market rates, improving access to higher quality protein in the local food system. The technology can be applied to producing other local foods.

Innovative Fodder Solutions Driven by Renewable Energy

HydroGreen system sourced directly from HydroGreen Inc., capable of producing 2,500 lbs/day of sprouted barley/wheat fodder in a 24×75 ft climate-controlled building to feed on-site cattle and potentially generate excess for sale to other ranchers. A 25 kW base system supports initial operations, but full demand requires a larger solar array. With 20 crypto miners (2 panels each), fodder system, HVAC, and home, the total energy demand is estimated at 120–150 kW, requiring approximately 400–480 solar panels (assuming ~300W per panel). Excess energy generated can be sold to the local power company for extra revenue. Sustainable year-round food production including leafy greens, root crops, herbs, berries, and fruiting vegetables for family and sale to others.
